Līgas biznesa interešu vai privātīpašuma tiesību aizskārums Nr.3

Līgas preses dienesta rīcībā ir nonākusi  Maksima Rāvēja, BK Zalve CEO, vēstule Komisāram un Līgas Īpašnieku Komitejai. M.Rāvēja kungs uzsver nepieciešamību kopīgām investīcijām klubu vadītāju prasmju uzlabošanai, kā arī norāda, ka mēģinājumi graut individuālu komandu reputāciju nodara milzu postu līgas ilgtermiņa biznesa interesēm.

The League Club Owners Committee

Dear Commissioner Dreibergs, dear League Club Owners Committee:

First, let me thank you for your  contribution in the development of the League! It has been an extremely successful year for all of us and the cooperation of team owners and the league offices has led our joint endeavour to new heights.

Recognition of the League as valuable social vehicle - in China and elsewhere – has boosted not only our revenues, but also brought much bigger attention to how we, the owners, conduct ourselves in the public sphere. It is of paramount importance that relationships between the owners/ownership groups remain respectful and cordial despite mounting business and societal pressure.

Being part of the League ownership group, we cannot help but notice two aspects:

  • evergrowing gap between the better and least-performing CEOs;
  •  that behaviour of certain individuals associated with certain clubs is doing an irreversible damage to the long-term prospects of the League and BK Zalve in particularly.

 To alleviate these risks, we should take two-fold approach. First, we should support the weakest among us – truly inclusive society is only possible when we all thrive. Second, BK Zalve – and we truly believe that all owners – stand jointly against efforts to slander, name-call and damage the reputation of individual clubs and the League.

Let us remind ourselves that this our common cause - the long-term value of our clubs are clearly in danger if the gap between the clubs grow too wide and when such individuals as described above can roam free as they please in their evil ways.

Together with world-renowned World Statistics Agency (1)  we would like to propose to create a Manager Development Investment Fund (MDIF) which would offer fully-fledged development support for least performing CEOs of the League clubs. Investment fund would invest not only in developing team marking aspects, but also communication, business, as well as team management aspects.

 In order to objectively define so-called least performing CEOs, we propose following, scientifically verified two-factor approach – where both factors have to be fulfilled in order to receive MDIF assistance:

  • All teams in standings that are below non-owner team (Venta komanda);
  • All teams that have lost to the last team in standings.

We do hope for further success of the league,

Maksims Rāvējs

(1)    World Statistics Agency – world leading, independent basketball statistics agency. The organisation is non-affiliated with any club in the league, has independent, multi-source funding and long standing, excellent reputation as TOP-2 objective data providers in basketball business. WSA has submitted a bid to overtake the statistical service of the League from the current statistical service providers.
